CrossFit Foundations

Our foundations class is designed for athletes who want to be introduced to CrossFit in a smaller group setting. This program focuses on several of our frequently used movements, and breaks them down into more detail than can normally be covered in a regular WOD class. Elements is a two-week, four-class program that teaches you the foundational movements of crossfit.


During this course we are going to teach about CrossFit, as well as what we recommend regarding nutrition and exercise. we will give you an idea of what to expect as a member at Refine.
We also use this time to learn about you! The smaller class setting helps us to understand each individual more, and once we have some understanding of your needs, we can help you achieve your goals.

We are excited to be on this journey with you!

We’ll introduce, refine technique and discuss range of motion requirements for the following movements:

  • Squats: air squat, front squat, overhead squat, back-squat

  • Presses: shoulder press, push press, push jerk

  • Power movements: deadlift, sumo deadlift high pull, med ball clean

  • Olympic movements: clean and jerk, snatch

  • Gymnastics: pull-up, push-ups, burpees, ring dips, handstands, l-sits etc.

  • Other common movements: thrusters, wall ball, kettlebell swings, rowing, box jumps, jump roping.

Please understand that all movements have modifications and we are happy to work with all abilities.

The cost for this class is $50 for current members (longer than 6 months) and $100 for new members. These prices give access to four Foundations classes (2 classes for 2 weeks). Foundations class includes individualized feedback and cueing for all movements along with a programmed WOD.
