Sharon Christian
CrossFit - L2
I have been involved with the fitness industry since 1999. I have competed in several fitness and figure competitions on the NPC amateur and IFBB pro stages. I started CrossFit in May 2012. Fell in love with the sport and haven't stopped. I love being able to lift heavy weights and do cardio all in any given workout. I earned my Level 1 in September 2014 and Level 2 in October 2023. I love being able to help others with their functional fitness that helps in everyday life. I have been married to my amazing supportive husband for 23 years this May. We have two beautiful and amazing teenagers! If we are not all in the gym, you can catch us out at the soccer fields watching my kiddos play!
How long have you been involved with CrossFit? What got you started?
I have been doing Crossfit for almost 5 years now. I started in May 2012. A friend of mine was doing it and thought I would like it since I worked out all the time. Ever since my first workout, I never looked back. I have been hooked ever since.
What’s your favorite CrossFit move/lift? Why?
My favorite lift is a power clean and move would be burpees. The power clean because I don't like to go into a full squat. I figure if I can't power clean it I don't need to lift that much. Burpees only because I have a shorter range to get to the floor than most people.
What’s your least favorite? Why?
My least favorite lift is the snatch. I just have a mental block on throwing a lot of weight overhead.
What’s your favorite part about coaching?
I love seeing each individual athlete improve and get stronger in every aspect of their life, whether it be physical, spiritual, or emotional. The community of Crossfit keeps me going.
If you’re going to cheat on diet, what’s your guilty pleasure food or meal?
Anything that’s sweet. And pizza.
Favorite hobby outside of the gym?
Watching my kids play soccer.
What keeps you coming back to CrossFit every day?
The community of people and the pure love of working out.
What’s your favorite thing about Refine?
The people, and the quality coaching.
